Merch Coverage: Anime Fall '18

The Anime Season of Fall 2018 has finished airing however that doesn't necessarily mean announcements surrounding Fall '18 have come to a stop. As new action figures, scale figures and nendoroids from select anime series are still being produced ready to hit digital shelves.

Goblin Slayer

The first series to receive new merchandise is the quite excellent and popular franchise Goblin Slayer based on the light novel which also happens to have a manga adaptation if that's more up your alley. It's about a person named "Goblin Slayer" and his quest to slay all the goblins. The anime had 12 episodes and was produced by the studio White, a new movie Goblin Slayer: Goblin's Crown is already confirmed and being worked on.

Goblin slayer so far has 2 collectables made, the first being a nendoroid of the man himself Goblin Slayer sometimes also referred to as Orcblog. The nendoroid can be set to different stances and has several pieces to equip: a short sword, torch and a club with dripping blood.

Nendoroid not your thing? Well lucky there's also a Goblin slayer figma! The action figure much like the nendoroid has full articulation allowing you to pose him to your heart's desire. The figma comes with various weaponry and overall looks pretty badass that would make a nice addition to any collector's shelf.

That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime

The next figure that we'll cover is from the new popular isekai Tensei shitara Slime Datta Ken adapted from the manga. It's about our protagonist Rimuru Tempest that got reincarnated into a new world as a slime as the English title suggests and the adventures that follow afterwards.

This figurine at 1/7th scale and our fan favorite girl Milim posing as she is enjoying some of Rimuru's sweet delectable honey. This figure while safe for work, is not entirely safe for the younger demographic as she's striking a pure teasing pose and it is certainly a quality piece! It also features Rimuru-sama's slime form relaxing on her backside blushing.

Bunny Girl Senpai - Seishun Buta Yarou

Our next figures from Seishun Buta Yarou wa Bunny Girl Senpai no Yumi wo Minai adapted from the light novel (no official English translation yet) is about Azusagawa Sakuta and a girl named Sakurajima Mai helping out classmates and each other dealing with the strange phenomenon called the adolescents/puberty syndrome.

To no surprise the first figures for this series is the lovely Bunny Girl Senpai - Mai Sakurajima. The first figure at 1/4th scale sits at 400mm in height so it's a bit larger than your common scale figure. This figurine is simply beautiful as it features Mai in her bunny girl outfit in a very cute pose servicing every fan of the series. It simply screams quality and is a must have for any fan of the series.

If that's not your cup of tea then this one for sure will seal the deal, another Mai Sakurajima figurine at 1/8th scale a bit smaller then the bunny girl ver. at 200mm in height featuring Mai in her school uniform sitting on a school desk, holding up her bunny ears displaying her adorable smile.

Boarding School Juliet

The second last anime that we'll cover is Boarding School Juliet also known as Kishuku Gakkou no Juliet (romaji) adapted from the manga, it's a story about Romio and Juliet with a twist. The twist being that it is a high school romcom that takes place in two warring schools! Our protagonist Romio one of the black dogs trying to maintain his relationship with Juliet a white cat.

We'll look at two figures from this series but they are very similar either way you'll want both of them because one just completes the other one, and you wouldn't want to break up these cute little sisters Teria Wang & Kochou Wang. Both figures are 1/7th scale and equally as good in terms of quality and cuteness.

SSSS. GRIDMAN

Our final anime is Studio Trigger's original series SSSS. GRIDMAN. The action sci-fi adventure doesn't have much in terms of figures (yet!) but it does have a nendoroid for the kaiju fanatic Akeno Shinjo she comes with different hair parts and bare legs to be displayed in a casual attire wink wink. Some items such as a smartphone, utility knife, headphones and glasses etc. are also provided.
